If we
\n
switch to Eastern European Time tonight, we will use a time that is more suitable for our
\n
eastern neighbours, i.e., for Belarus, and thanks to this we will have the sun setting an hour
\n
later and rising an hour later, but we will not save energy on this
\n
The introduction of summer, i.e., moving the clocks forward one hour in the spring and
\n
summer, was supposedly first proposed by Benjamin Franklin in the 18th century. This was
\n
to help better match the time of human activity to the hours with the most sunlight and bring
\n
savings.
